Controller's Comments
When KFO contacted me, I was pleased to accept the opportunity to control an event so close to home, and it was fitting that on the club's 30th anniversary the weather was wonderful (if a tad cold) and everything seemed to go so well. Dave's thoughtful courses made the most of the area of Tentsmuir available to us; and the competitors I spoke to overwhelmingly seemed to appreciate the challenge they were presented.
Apologies for any confusion caused by my failure to spot that course legs on Green, Blue and Brown had not been adjusted to pass through the compulsory crossing point at the road (these were present in previous versions, but lost by Condes before the final versions were sent for printing).
I would like to thank Dave, John, for his calm and efficient organisation, and all the KFO helpers for making sure that everything ran smoothly on the day, and giving me so little to do (apart from eating cake!)

Organiser's Comments
Thanks to everyone for turning up on this exceptionally cold day. The frozen toilets were indeed slightly tricky to operate but by mid-morning things seemed to be moving well... Thanks for your understanding here!
I was very grateful to KFO members who came to the event and helped. I am especially indebted to Jim Moffat, who came to the recue after I'd a big blunder in not checking that I had a suitable cable to connect to the hired generator. Jim returned home to find caravan electric sockets & plugs and then did the necessary on the spot rewiring of one of his cables.
I hope you enjoyed your day and can certainly say that I appreciated the good atmospehere around the event.
I was left with one item of lost property, a baseplate compass. Please get in touch with me to claim it: john dot emeleus @yahoo.co.uk
Cheers.

Planner's Comments
I was restricted to the south part of Tentsmuir, as the north is being
used for the 6-Days next year, so I decided to include the area south of
the road in. I don’t remember when this was last used. Computer chair
planning takes a nose dive when you see the real forest. I had to
abandon the relatively unknown regions west of the main area as access
was restricted by steep, deep drainage channels, and recent felling
meant snails overtook me.
I hoped you enjoyed the variety, that it kept you on your toes. Most courses seemed to finish in the designated times, though Brown could have been a shade longer, but this was difficult to achieve given the restrictions mentioned earlier. Green was a little lengthy.
Thanks to David Sloan for all his advice and work in controlling, to John for stepping in to finishing organising at a late stage, and to all the other helpers. Thank you all for coming.
It was a delight to have Bid, the Forestry Person, around on the day. We really appreciated her interest, enthusiasm and help.
