Day 2 results have been adjusted by voiding a leg which involved an uncrossable river issue. This means John, Jim, and Phil's positions improved; Dave's declined; and, Heather, Matthew, Les and Rab's stayed the same.
Craig A Barns was a bit of a disaster for me - I jumped my back, and my right leg ceased to function, so I had to limp back to the finish. 1 - 2 took an age - I aimed for the corner of the dark area (a swamp) but couldn't find a way through and ended up going through the swamp, anyway. I seem to have been on CaB at least a half dozen times, so I dug out some older maps so you can see a progression – can you? The JK in 2012 took me along a similar leg in about 7 mins – today took ?@~% minutes. Note how contours have changed over the years even for the same small hills. I didn’t run the 1975 SoC; the map was given by a friend (Mel Wilkinson) who did. Can you recognise the correspondence? The detail is phenomenal, but in my view, very hard to read. Liz and Doug Mills (late of WFO) assisted with the map production.
